A few weeks ago I posted on Newberg’s (possibly) changing Short Term Rental Rules and received a handful of questions about Dundee’s Rules.
The information is a bit tricky to find on the City of Dundee’s webpage but here is the information I was able to gather. Let me know if you are looking for something specific.
– Similar to Newberg Dundee requires a Type II application through the city which costs $400 and requires public notice and an option to appeal
– Dundee also requires a business license application and the operator must pay Transient use tax (9%)
– No short term rentals are allowed within 500 feet of any other STR
– STR permits are only valid for the time the owner owns the property; once the property is sold the permit is invalidated.
– There must be Two off street parking places for guests
– Properties with ADUs can not be used for STR
– No more than 10 guests are allowed in a rental regardless of the number of bedrooms
– STRs are allowed only in single family dwellings (not duplexes, apartments or condos)
– No person shall have more than one STR permit in Dundee
All this information is the updated “New information”. The City of Dundee conducted a STR review in 2023 and this is the latest information.
