Pressure Washing in Newberg & McMinnville: Mike at Mike’s Powerwashing & More

About Mike and Mike’s Powerwashing

Mike Hill runs Mike’s Powerwashing & More out of McMinnville, and he does a lot of pressure washing in Newberg and the rest of Yamhill County. Most of the work is driveways, siding, roofs, decks and patios. He also does lawn care, and snow and ice removal once winter sets in.

I met Mike at a Newberg Chamber greeters meeting, and we’ve traded referrals ever since. Before this he worked in machining, and one of his longtime customers says you can see it in how precise the finished work is.

His reviews keep coming back to the jobs other companies pass on. A local nonprofit had a yard so overgrown it couldn’t be mowed anymore. Mike lowered his price because they were a nonprofit and showed up the next day, in the rain, to clear it. A church needed graffiti gone before Sunday service, and he got it done on short notice.

Why I’m Featuring Mike

When a house is getting ready to list, a clean driveway and freshly washed siding are some of the easiest things to fix before the photos. Mike is who I call for that. He also takes on the overgrown yards nobody else wants to bid, which comes up a lot with houses that have been sitting empty.

He replies personally to his Google reviews, and the reviews themselves describe specific jobs and specific problems he solved. That tells me how he runs his business.

Frequently Asked Questions

What areas does Mike’s Powerwashing serve?

Mike is based in McMinnville and serves all of Yamhill County, including Newberg and Dundee. He also covers Woodburn, Wilsonville, Salem, Dallas, Monmouth and Lincoln City.

Does a pressure washing company need a license in Oregon?

Oregon doesn’t require a CCB license for pressure washing, soft washing or yard work the way it does for roofing or electrical. Mike’s Powerwashing & More, LLC is registered and active with the Oregon Secretary of State.

What’s the difference between pressure washing and soft washing?

Pressure washing uses high-force water on hard surfaces like concrete driveways and patios. Soft washing uses low pressure with a cleaning solution, which is the safer choice for siding, roofs and anything full pressure could damage.

Should I pressure wash my house before selling it in Newberg?

Usually, yes. Siding, driveways and walkways show up in listing photos and are the first thing buyers see when they pull up. Plan the wash a week or two before photos so everything has time to dry, and ask for soft washing on the siding and roof.

Does Mike’s Powerwashing offer discounts?

Yes. Mike offers military and senior discounts, and he has worked with nonprofits on price.
